    You will be picked up by your guide and driver at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport or Chongqing North Railway Station, and be taken to your hotel in Downtown Chongqing. After you check in at your hotel, you may go to Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street for a stroll in your free time.

    As a hub of communications in Southwestern China, Chongqing is an easily accessible city. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport operates flights to 61 overseas terminals and 142 cities within Mainland China.     After breakfast, you will ride your car to Dazu County where the site of Dazu Grottoes is located. The distance between Dazu and Chongqing is some 100 kilometers(62 miles). It takes about two hours to get to Dazu by car. In the afternoon, you will be escorted back to your hotel in downtown Chongqing.

    The assemblage of Dazu Grottoes is one of the greatest works related to China’s traditional grotto art. It is also known as Dazu Rock Carvings. The carvings are not only famous for its rich content, but also the technique utilized by the sculptor. The work of rock carving was added to the list of world cultural heritage sites by UNESCO in 1999. Dazu Grottoes refer to all the caves with murals and sculptures in Dazu County, which were chiseled centuries ago. The great carving work consists of a large number of caves with over 50,000 sculptures. It represents the most outstanding grotto art worldwide during the period between the Ninth Century and the Thirteenth Century. The grottoes in Dazu County can be found in different parts of the area, such as Shilushan Mountain, Nashan Mountain and Shimenshan Mountain. Among those places, the grottoes in both Baodingshan Mountain and Beishan Mountain are the most amazing and impressive.

    After checkout of your room, you will be guided to visit Chaotianmen Square, Chongqing Grand Auditorium and Liziba Monorail Station. You will have lunch in a local restaurant in downtown Chongqing, and then travel to Wulong County. On the way to Wulong, you will pay a visit to Baiheliang Hydrology Museum. You will spend two nights in the same hotel nearby the Fairy-Maiden Mountain.

    Chaotianmen Square is located at Yuzhong Peninsula of Chongqing, overlooking the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. The square was built in 1998, named after the ancient Chaotianmen Pier. It is one of the top three central business districts(CBD) in Chongqing.

    Chongqing Grand Auditorium is one of the landmarks of Chongqing. It is also called Chongqing People’s Great Hall. The construction of the hall was begun in 1951 and completed in 1954. The building combines the regal splendor of the ancient Chinese palaces and Western architecture. The hall is 65 meters(213 feet) in height and covers an area of 1.85 hectares(4.57 acres). It has seating capacity of over 3,400.

    Liziba Monorail Station is located by the Jialing River. It is one of the hottest tourist attractions in Chongqing. Visitors like to stand on a nearby viewing platform, watching trains which draw into the station. Since the monorail trains move high above the ground, the difference in height between the viewing platform and the monorails gives an illusion of space. People can be photographed with a special composition that the trains are running into their mouths.

    Baiheliang Hydrology Museum(or the White-Crane-Ridge Underwater Museum) is situated in the north of Fuling County. It is well-known as “the oldest hydro-logical station in the world”, “the world library of hydrology”, and “the underwater stone tablet forest”. The museum is of special historic interest which has been designated as a national cultural relic site under protection.

    In the morning, you will go to the Visitor Center of Wulong where the visitors are transferred to either Tiansheng Three-Bridge Geo-park or Longshuixia Ground Crack. It would be better to visit the three natural bridges in the morning, and go hiking through the ground crack in the afternoon.

    Tiansheng Three-Bridge Geo-Park is one of the world’s spectacular examples of Karst Landscape. The name of the geo-park means three natural bridges in English. The bridges straddle the Grand Wulong Sinkhole. As a unique geological wonder of the world, the grand sinkhole was added to the list of world natural heritage sites by UNESCO in 2007. It was used as one of the locations for the film Transformers 4 in 2013. The whole gorge is hidden by verdant forest. A stream flows through the gorge. Waterfalls cascade down the cliff. There is nothing more blissful than hiking in the lovely park.

    Longshuixia Ground Crack is a Karst landscape formed million years ago due to the orogeny. The crack is 5 kilometers(3 miles) in total length, and its depth ranges from 200 meters(656 feet) to 500 meters(1640 feet). It is highly praised for its large scale, magnificent sight, delicate beauty, unique landscape and quiet atmosphere. It is just like a beautiful Chinese traditional painting of which the contents are cliffs, gorges and streams.

    After breakfast, you will check out of your room and take your car to the Fairy-Maiden Mountain. After having lunch, you will go to explore the wondrous Furong Cave. You will stay overnight in a hotel in Wulong Town.

    As one of the top ten attractions in Chongqing, the Fairy-maiden Mountain is widely known as the oriental Switzerland for its snow-capped virgin forest. The features of the mountain are the virgin forest and the pasture. The forest covers an area of 220 square kilometers(85 sq.mi) and the high mountain pasture is 67 square kilometers(26 sq.mi) in area.

    Furong Cave is the only Karst cave in China which has been listed as a world natural heritage site by UNESCO. It is known as one of the three largest caves in the world. The cave is about 2,700 meters(8,858 feet) in length. Inside the cave, both the width and the height range from 30 meters(98 feet) to 50 meters(164 feet).

    You will set off for Chongqing in the morning, go for a stroll in Ciqikou Ancient Town in the afternoon and enjoy the gorgeous night view of Hongyadong Old Street. You will check in at your hotel in Chongqing after visiting the ancient town.

    Ciqikou Ancient Town used to be a river port in ancient times. It shows what Chongqing was like in the past. Because the street has not become as modernized as the rest part of Chongqing, Ciqikou is known as the so-called Chongqing in Miniature or Small Chongqing.

    Hongyadong is a traditional Chinese styled shopping mall. The building shows the feature of Diaojiaolou architecture. Diaojiaolou is a traditional building supported by piles, which is popular among some Chinese minorities, like Miao Nationality and Tujia Nationality. It was built in 2006. The building has become one of the most ideal places for photographers to get the gorgeous Chongqing night view.
