Inhabited by many different ethnic groups, both Yunnan and Guizhou are provinces in Southwestern China. The region where Yunnan and Guizhou lie is called Yun-Gui Plateau, even though its altitude is not that high which only ranges from 1,000 meters(3,281 feet) to 4,000 meters(13,123 feet) above sea level. It is the homeland of Chinese minorities, such as the Bai people, the Shui people, the Miao people, etc. The plateau is well-known for its marvelous Karst landform and China’s Danxia landscape. It attracts tourists with its gorgeous natural scenery and diverse cultural traditions. Some of the most famous attractions in Yunnan and Guizhou are Lijiang Old Town, the Jade-Dragon Snow-capped Mountain, Erhai Lake, Stone-Forest National Geo-park, Dali Old Town and Huangguoshu Waterfall.
